常常被問到, mappi-ma 有讓 mappi 玩 iPhone iPad 嗎?

iPhone 畫面太小了, mappi-ma 沒有讓 mappi 玩, 也培養了「媽媽的電話不能碰」的習慣.

iPad 嘛, mappi-ma 是有讓 mappi 玩的, 可是不是因為她吵所以給, 而是當成學習工具的一種, mama 給時就有, mama 不給的話吵也沒用. (但 mappi 至今還沒有吵過要玩 iPad).

mappi 可以在 iPad 上玩的有:

2. mama 網上找來又不想浪費墨水 print 的 worksheet

3. 教學 app

Screen time 也會限制在 30 分鐘內.

 

不得不認同有些教學 app 實在做得太好了! 小朋友玩著玩著不知不覺間就學會了! mappi-ma 特別推介這個叫 Toddler Counting 123 的 app:

最喜歡它的是小朋友要用小手指把要數的東西逐個點, 然後 app 會逐個說 one, two, three… 到數完了沒有漏的話英文串法如 twenty 便會出來.

別小看這「逐個點」的步驟, 原來對 baby 來說是很不容易的! 最初讓 mappi 數東西時, 明明只有 4 個, mappi 也會 one two three four five six 的數過頭… 玩了這個 app 後明顯改善很多了.

Reading Audio PDF books on iPad

OK, now I have reviewed and got these great English Leveled Readers and can’t wait to transfer them to my iPad for Mappi to read. And here comes the big shock!! My favourite, all-rounded pdf app Good Reader will not play the embedded audio in pdf files!!! Went ask Professor Google, it seems many people posted the same question without a concrete solution… after an hour of struggle, finally I found this!

Love it!! Why? It’s:

• Free without ads!!!!
• able to play the sounds from my pdf files!
• many option to transfer files, including dropbox!
• nice and simple layout showing the covers of each file – so mappi can touch and choose what she wants me to read her
• can even play MP3s and videos!

It’s my first night reading from iPad to mappi tonight. Guess how long we read until she asked for dinner? An hour!!!!!
